Plant Description
Prairie Dropseed is a long lived native bunchgrass prized for its elegant fountain shape and fine
texture. In late summer it produces airy, fragrant seedheads that hover above the foliage and turn
golden in fall. It performs best in full sun and well drained soils, thriving even in drought once
established. Minimal maintenance is required beyond cutting back in early spring.
